Happy 40th and 41st Anniversary

snailstichr and I are back in New York, before heading down to Philly, to drop her off at her Embroidery Conference celebrating the Plimouth Jacket.

Today was a drizzly day, but we made the best of it by spending most of the time inside Broadway Theaters.

For the matinee, we saw Daniel Radcliffe and John Laroquette in "How to Succeed in Business without really Trying."  This was our second time seeing Daniel Radcliffe on stage, previously catching Equus.

Very good show.  Catch it if you are in the city.

Then we stood in line at TKTS planning to buy tickets to The Addams Family, with Brooke Shields.  We were discussing it with a fan who assured us that Follies was a much better choice.  It was, particularly after we googled the reviews of The Addams Family on our return to the motel.

Follies was wonderful, and in the second act, where they returned to the '30s and '40s that was the inspiration for the show, it could truly be described as over-the-top fabulous (with full knowledge of all the denotations and connotations of that word.)

Bernadette Peters, Jan Maxwell and Elaine Paige had the main female roles, playing opposite Danny Burstein and Ron Raines.

There was a load of ladies with wonderful pipes.   Great show.  Thanks for the advice.
