Late to leave for Pennsic: will arrive early at Pennsic

The plan was to get the new shop tent sewn this week, as well as preparing the empty apartment next door for the new renter, who moves in tomorrow.  Three weeks of 100 degree weather slows one down.

I was hoping to leave this morning, driving to South Bend to visit the fmaily for the weekend, and then leave Monday morning for Pennsic.  I would have the chance to see my brother in from Chicago, for the first time in over a year.

The apartment took too long, so I didn't start sewing until yesterday.

Then today the utility people came by to turn things on.

Yay for air conditioning while cleaning, and sewing.

Oh, yeah, I sew in the empty apartment.  Plenty of room to lay out and manhandle fabric.

While I was out, the water guy came by, turned on the water, and then turned it off after seeing that there was a leak.

Pipes in an outside wall had apparently frozen and burst in the last 2 years.  Luckily, I was in town and could spend the day ripping out drywall and replacing pipe.

Almost done with plumbing and repair, then back to tent.  Tomorrow is packing, leave Sunday morning, hope to be to war by noon to 3-5 pm Monday instead of 7pm as planned.

Oh, and Tomorrow, we plan to see "Hamlet, the Zombie killer of Denmark."
