Good night, Mr. C

Tom Bosley died today.
As the father of "everyteen", he occupied a certain section in the pop-culture milieu.
My favorite line of his, as he was consoling Richie after missing a game-winning free throw, was:
Here, have a Life Saver.
That was a common ad theme of the seventies, but of course, Happy Days was set in the late fifties/early sixties.

snailstichr  and I saw him on Broadway, in Cabaret (http://trimguy.livejournal.com/28069.html).  In the program, he mentioned that he wanted to give his grandchildren a chance to see him onstage before he hung it up for good.
I hope they enjoyed it.  We did.
